Trudy Fielding - Trudy began square dancing with her husband Simon in 1993. A caller suggested she ‘try a singing call’ at his club and within a few months she was signed up for her first caller school in 1996.
In January 2000 Trudy and Simon opened the Activ 8’s square dance club. Trudy regularly calls mainstream through to A2 for several clubs, either as their regular caller or as cover for the club caller, with the occasional introductory party dance. Although Trudy is a caller in her own right she usually works with Simon.
Trudy and Simon were on the GSI UK Organizing Committee for GSI UK 2007 and 2009. They were also Staff Callers at the GSI UK 2007 and 2009 Festivals.
Trudy has been the Chairperson of GSI UK Organising Committee since the end of the GSI Festival 2009.
